My fairy tale day

I was looking pretty relaxed to everyone, but deep down a little anxious to see Luke (we hate spending the night apart so I think that was more the reason).. Getting ready seemed to take forever. I felt like a little girl waiting to put her dress on and once I did, there I was feeling like that 5 year old girl that finally got her wedding dress for her birthday! My dream dress was from The Ultimate Bride, designer Justin Alexander. Staring into the mirror everything was perfect, make up by Frankie Eloise, my hair done by my beautiful hairdresser sister Nikki Andresen and flowers by Van from A Cup Full of Flowers.

It was time for Luke and I to have our first look…It was amazing. It was more intimate and took that pressure off seeing each other in front of all the guests at the ceremony. All we worried about was ourselves for those few hours. James was great making the most of time. He took any pressure away and let us do our thing. James and his assistant, Alex, really made the day. They knew how to get us in character and it felt like him saying action but in the most natural way!!!

I had the greatest day ever, I knew my dress would get dirty but I didn’t care. It’s one day. Never let stress get in the way because no matter what can go wrong will go wrong, but it is all part of the day.

What a way to end 2013. In February I was shooting Adam & Cassie’s Wedding in Glen Ewin Estate, then in October I was in Bali for Laura & Jason’s Wedding, and finally in December, I find myself full circle back in the Adelaide hills, shooting with Jaimee & Luke in Al Ru Farm. Once again the Adelaide Hills has given up another one of its well kept secrets. For a photographer I was spoiled with the number of spots that I could photograph the newly wed couple.
