Josh and Catherine’s Adelaide Botanic Gardens Wedding. I must take my hat off to Catherine and Josh for staying the course. Committing to a September date this year was a difficult decision that paid off. Considering so many couples around the world had postponed their wedding due to COVID-19. After 6 long months without shooting a wedding, I was finally back in the game. Even with a last-minute venue change 3 weeks out from the wedding day. It wasn’t going to deter this couple from saying ‘I do’ on their chosen day. Full credit to everyone involved in bringing this day to life for Catherine & Josh!
Josh & Catherine were married on the North Lodge Lawns in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens. With the ceremony0 conducted by Penelope Carrick. While the arbour supplied by Minty Mary Pea served as the focal point of the ceremony. Afterwards, the location photos were taken amongst the surrounds of the Botanic Gardens. Finally, Josh & Catherine’s reception was held at the National Wine Centre of Australia. With entertainment supplied by DJ Steve Locke and Photobooth supplied by the team from Snap Snap.
Weddings at Adelaide Botanic Gardens
The Adelaide Botanic gardens are located on the corner of North Terrace & Hackney Road. Paid hourly parking is provided along Hackney Rd and along Plane Tree Drive. Weddings are hosted year-round by the Adelaide Botanic gardens. However, the best months are between September through November. Then from March to May, if you want to take advantage of ideal weather. So from a photographers perspective, the Adelaide Botanic Gardens give plenty of opportunity for photos and provide plenty of variety.
National Wine Centre of Australia
The National Wine Centre of Australia is located on the Corner of Hackney & Botanic Road. It boasts the largest collection of vintage wine in Australia. The function rooms cater for small events from under 100 guests to 200+ guests. The reception food is easily some of the best on offer in South Australia. As a wedding venue, it comes highly recommended if you’re looking at having an amazing reception. With its convenient city location, the National wine centre ticks all the boxes for value & sophistication to make your wedding reception one to remember for you and your guests long after the last person has departed.
